A reminder is just a scheduled way to feel like you've failed.
Loving plants and remembering to water them are two different skills.
I have ADHD. I can tell you everything about a plant — the light it likes, the soil it wants, exactly how often to water it. What I can't tell you is whether I actually did it on Tuesday. For a long time, my partner was the only reason our plants survived — quietly topping them up every time it slipped my mind.
Here's the thing, though: you don't need ADHD to have a busy mind. A packed week, travel, a new baby, plain life — everyone's routine slips sometimes. And every plant app answers the same way: another reminder to feel bad about. I didn't need more guilt. I needed something that just handled it — and only spoke up with good news.
So I built Chikorie — for me, for my partner, and for anyone whose love for their plants is bigger than their memory for Tuesdays.
